Bluffs Middle School Student Council is participating in a day of giving. This is a great way for you to support our school. The day of giving is a 24-hour giving event organized by Oregon Trail Community Foundation to grow awareness and philanthropy for area non-profit organizations. The goal is to expand giving while celebrating and supporting the nonprofits that help make our community a great place to live

This day of giving is a great opportunity for people to support Bluffs Middle School. Donations can be made on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, by sending money to school with your student or by making a donation online at www.wyobraskagives.org. Family and friends may contribute any amount of money they feel comfortable giving.

All of the funds donated will go to Bluffs Middle School Student Council giving them an opportunity to support teachers and students with the purchase of technology and other supplies needed throughout the school year.

I love the Friends of the Gering Library!
by Sherry Preston
The Friends of the Gering Library book sale is a great place to find new treasures! They have thousands of books to choose from every year. The Friends uses the proceeds of the sale (and other funds) to support the Gering Library. Much of their support goes to programming, including both adult and children's activities. Please support the Friends of the Gering Library!

As a volunteer and board member I have seen firsthand the caring, compassion, tears and laughter the staff and other volunteers at PHS share with our down-and-out pets and each other. The shelter stretches every dollar to feed, heal and nurture neglected and marginalized animals in our community. Please help.

Give to SBPS Foundation
I believe in the work the SBPS Foundation is doing. We are working to support and enrich the quality education available at SBPS. We are always thinking about the future and what our role is in SBPS continuing to be a quality district. The programs we have made available over the last year reflect our desire to do good for our students. Our board is eager to make a difference, excited to use our dollars for quality purposes, and ready for the growth we are experiencing . Please consider contributing to our Foundation for the betterment of education at SBPS.

United Way Makes a Way!
by Michal Martinez
My name is Mike Martinez and I have had the privilege of working with United Way of Western Nebraska both directly and indirectly for the last 5 years! This organization has done so much for our local community for decades. Through it's growth and change, the passion and direction of helping our own citizens and neighbors has never been lost! This organization works so hard day in and day out, all year long, to provide for this community. They have helped with food insecurity, education and school supplies, support organizations that take care of our fragile youth, and so much more. The need continues to grow and the United Way of Western Nebraska continues to find new and innovative ways to continue to support that need. The United Way truly makes a way for those that can't make it on their own.
